Fear of Flight
A bumpy transcontinental flight. Fourteen nervous people on board. Some of Canada's best playwrights. And choreography.

Newfoundland theatre company Artistic Fraud brings its musical production Fear of Flight to The Cultch in Vancouver.

So many of us are afraid of flying, especially these days, but what are our other fears? This examination of fear is directed by Siminovitch Prize-winning Jillian Keiley, and written by Robert Chafe, but also includes the work of eight other playwrights, including Daniel MacIvor, Marie Clements and Judith Thompson, who were commissioned to write monologues for the characters. A choral soundtrack accompanies the work.

Not your average theatrical experience, to be sure.

Where: The Cultch, 8 p.m., until Sunday.

Welcome the World: A Choral Gala
Four of Vancouver's finest choral ensembles present traditional and contemporary choral works in 20 languages. Featuring Chor Leoni Men's Choir, Electra Women's Choir, musica intima vocal ensemble and the Vancouver Chamber Choir.

Where: St. Andrew's-Wesley United Church, 7:30 p.m.

Dance Marathon
A participatory event reliving the dance marathons of the 1930s. Bring your dancing shoes.

Where: The Roundhouse, 7 p.m., until Saturday.

Ginger Goodwin Way
An exhibition inspired by the life and death of controversial labour activist Albert (Ginger) Goodwin, by contemporary artists Mariana Castillo Deball, Michele Di Menna and the Until We Have A Helicopter collective.

Where: Or Gallery, until March 6.
