LAKE PLACID, NY - Edmonton Eskimos running back Jesse Lumsden is scheduled to join the Canadian men's bobsleigh team in Igls, Austria, next week and is expected to audition for a sport on Pierre Lueders' team.
Lueders has been auditioning brakemen through the first two World Cup races, with David Bissett joining him Saturday for his fourth-place finish in the two-man race here at Mt. van Hoeverden. Neville Wright was his brakeman in the first race at Park City, Utah.
Lumsden has been limited by injuries during his CFL career and was shut down this year after under-going shoulder surgery. He was Lueders' brakeman when Lueders won the national championships in Whistler in March.
Italy's Giuliano Razzoli takes the gold medal in the men's slalom.
Mathieu Giroux, Lucas Makowsky and Denny Morrison win a tight race with the US.
