Norway's Thomas Ulsrud scored a single in the final end in Lucerne, Switzerland, to edge hometown skip Ralph Stoeckli for the Lucerne Curling Trophy title.

Ulsrud and teammates Haavard Vad Petersson, Christoffer Svae and Torger Nergaard came away with a 5-4 victory on Sunday.

They scored a deuce in the second and stole another two in the fifth to lead 4-1 after five ends, but Stoeckli staged a comeback.

The Swiss skip, who recently won his country's Olympic trials to earn a berth to the 2010 Games, scored two in the sixth and stole a single in the seventh to tie things up, but Ulsrud landed the single in the final end for the win.

In the semifinal earlier Sunday, Ulsrud beat reigning world champion David Murdoch of Great Britain, 7-6.

Stoeckli beat Norway's Thomas Loevold 6-3 in extra ends in his semifinal.
