The official mascots for Vancouver 2010 are unveiled in Surrey, BC in front of 800 school-aged children as a promotion targeted to this demographic. Miga, Quatchi and Sumi are introduced as mythical animals inspired by traditional First Nation legends. A fourth character, Mukmuk, was introduced by VANOC as an unofficial mascot sidekick.
