Artist Q&A:

Q: Which Olympic Games sport rocks the most?
A: Free-style Skiing and Ski Jumping

Q: Which Olympic Games sport would you like to compete in, and why?
A: Bobsledding. For years watching the Olympics I would always watch bobsledding and wish I could do it. I was always the little kid who tore down the steep icy hills (well, as steep as you can find in Winnipeg anyhow) on toboggan sleds. And besides, I've always had "a need for speed."

Q: What is your favourite all-time Olympic Games memory?
A: Personally, my family and I never had the chance to be directly involved in any way in the Olympics, but like families around the world we always sat in our living room and watched the grand events on TV. I always tried to imagine what it must feel like to train your whole life for one single event, never thinking that I would one day actually get to feel that feeling, that rush. My favourite Olympic memory will be of this years Olympics. A total non-athlete, 19 year old fiddle player being given the invitation, the honour, to be a part of this once in a lifetime event, and to be even a small part of the lifelong memories of these incredible athletes, and the world of the Winter Olympics 2010.

    The Waking Eyes

The Waking Eyes formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2001 as more of a musical collective, than a band proper. Their debut album "Coming of the Clouds" is a rich tapestry of neo-psychedelic and orchestral pop recorded in various basements, garages and bedrooms in Manitoba. The group is currently preparing for the release of this new record in the coming summer.
