Slovaks learn a hard lesson in defeat to Canada

The Slovakian women's hockey team never expected to compete with the Canadian powerhouse in its Olympic debut, but to its credit after being blasted 18-0 the team is ready to play on.

In 2006, Hefford and Team Canada won their second consecutive Olympic gold medal at the Turin Olympic Games.

Career highlights »

A three-time Olympic medallist, Hefford scored hte game-winning goal in the gold medal game at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games with one second left in the second period.

2010 will be Hefford's fourth Olympic appearance. She has also competed in seven world championships, earning five world-championship gold medals.
