This Eckville, Alberta native earned four World Cup medals during the 2008-09 season - including a gold in Park City, Utah - to finish the season ranked seventh overall.

Mellisa Hollingsworth not only remains Canada's first and only female Olympic medallist in the sport of skeleton, she is also a two-time Canadian champion and finished first overall in the World Cup standings at the conclusion of the 2005-06 season.

Results »

Hollingsworth joined the national skeleton team in 1996. At the first women's skeleton world championship in 2000, she earned the silver medal in Igls, Austria.
