Cindy Klassen may not be done racing at the Richmond Olympic Oval. The six-time medallist was named an alternate on Canada's pursuit team; the final event in long track speed skating, which begins Friday.
Klassen did not compete during the 2008-09 because she was recovering from surgery on both her knees.
Klassen was the first Canadian athlete to win five medals in one Olympic Games and her six career medals are also a Canadian Olympic record.
Italy's Giuliano Razzoli takes the gold medal in the men's slalom.
Mathieu Giroux, Lucas Makowsky and Denny Morrison win a tight race with the US.
