GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alta. - Alberta's cowboy culture got a nod today as the 2010 Olympic flame was loaded onto a chuckwagon and brought into Grande Prairie amid cheering fans.

Multi-champion chuckwagon driver Kelly Sutherland brought the flame into town as he stood at the back of the wagon showing off the torch to the crowds lining the streets.

The skies were sunny and the temperature was just below freezing, a welcome change for the torch relay organizers who arrived, sweating, in parkas after most of the week spent in the frigid Arctic.

The flame will travel to CFB Cold Lake later in the day and by Sunday, it will be back up north in Alert, the most northern inhabited community on the planet.

The flame is on a 106-day journey across Canada before opening the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver on Feb. 12.
