COLD LAKE, Alta. - One day after the Olympic flame got a taste of Alberta's cowboy culture, the torch for the 2010 Winter Games will continue its journey across the Prairies.

The torch will move from CFB Cold Lake to La Ronge, Saskatchewan, Saturday morning.

While in Northern Saskatchewan's largest community, the torch will be part of a local celebration.

La Ronge torchbearers will include Elecktra Charles, who won five gold medals and one bronze at the 2008 North American Indigenous Games.

The torch relay will conclude Saturday with another community celebration in Thompson, Manitoba.

The 106-day Olympic torch relay will span 45,000 kilometres and visit more than 1,000 communities.
