
Calgarians Chris and Mike Moffat finished 10th in their first luge doubles World Cup race of the season, Friday.
On their home track in Calgary, the Moffat brothers finished their race in one minute, 28.639 seconds - almost eight-tenths of a second behind winners Patric Leitner and Alexander Resch, of Germany.
With a final time of 1:27.855, Germany's Olympic silver medallists made up a 0.16-second deficit out of the first run to take compatriots Andre Florschütz and Torsten Wustlich (1:27.886) for the gold.
Italy's Christian Oberstolz and Patrick Gruber were third.
The World Cup competition continues Saturday with the women's and men's races.
