
Two Italians stole the show at the Viessmann Luge World Cup at Innsbruck-Igls on Sunday. The two-time Olympic Champion Armin Zöggeler won in a total time of 1:37.988, followed by his team-mate Wilfried Huber (1:38.05).
Third place went to Russia's Viktor Kneib (1:38.091), who achieved a career-best result.
It was Zöggeler's 47th World Cup victory. He tops the World Cup standings by a big margin with 200 points. Germany's David Möller is behind him in second with 131, while Felix Loch, also of Germany is third with 120.
Huber's silver medal gave him a big push toward making it to his seventh Olympic Games in Vancouver, which would be a very unique feat.
Canada's top performer in the event was Samuel Edney of Calgary, Alta., who finished 18th (1:38.463). Vancouver's Jeff Christie finished 21s (1:38.637).
Italy's Giuliano Razzoli takes the gold medal in the men's slalom.
Mathieu Giroux, Lucas Makowsky and Denny Morrison win a tight race with the US.
